We also ordered window treatments from JCPenny and Walmart. EXCELLENT price! We are hoping they look good and fit! We have a lot of windows to cover so we tried to keep costs down!!

  1. We are going to do all cordless cellular shades also. We have a few in our current home and prefer them much more to the others.

    1. Glad you like them! We went back and forth, but wanted something that still allows all the beautiful light in even when we are trying to eliminate direct sun in our eyes :-)

  2. The house looks great, Elise! We're in the process of pricing out different window coverings. I hadn't thought of looking at the selections at JCPenney. DUH! Thanks for the info! We have three big windows and a large arched window that will need to be covered ASAP in our bedroom. Otherwise we won't be able to sleep with the street lamp shining through. =-D

  4. I'm so glad you looked into JCP! I actually got ours from Lowes. I wanted roman shades that looked a bit more like linen or burlap (don't judge LOL - I'm more rustic than most) and I found "the ones" at Lowes so I decided to get my wood blinds there too - mostly because I'm impatient and didn't want the neighbors seeing me without clothes on... LOL that sort of sounds like I'm a nudist... I promise I'm not haha!

Can't wait to see the next steps!!

    1. Oh and the couch in the cordless blinds photo is similar to the one I bought... Which explains why with two dogs and a mud-pit yard I am still blogging from the nearly 10 year old couch instead of the nice and oh-so-white fluffy new couch :)

  5. Hi! We are currently looking at window treatments. I measured our windows upstairs and they seem to all measure between 34 1/2" to 35" by 61". What size did you guys order? I think I'm "measuring tape challenged." ;)
