Top 20: #11: Having a Garage and #10 Cascading steps to the 2nd floor

#11: I have NEVER had a garage. When I say never I mean not growing up, not ever! So having a garage is pretty awesome, especially with 2 kids and rain. Plus, you can store whatever, whenever!

#10:  The cascading steps on the Victoria Falls Model was a big selling point for us. They are just so beautiful...

Those stairs are what sold us the house too, how about that?
We did the exact same stairs in direct set hardwood without carpet runner. The color was Cherry Red. I think this is only the 2nd time I've seen someone post the exact same setup.. The end railing looks different though, as our stairs has a curve at the end and is not straight, I think they call it a bull nose.. It's just the way it came.

Also, our house is the reverse of yours and I spent a couple of minutes trying to orient myself in those pictures, a strange experience! Those waterfall cascading stairs look absolutely fabulous with the matching hardwood floors.

    1. I am not sure why there is a Spam thing all of a sudden... I am trying to find how to fix it and am having trouble. I will work on it!

We have a reverse floor plan, I find myself messing up in my head when I see other homes!

  5. These are two things I love about your home as well. The staircase is so nice with the oak steps! And I've personally never lived in a home with a garage as well. We don't get the your cascading steps, but I'm also excited at finally having a garage so I don't have to deal with the elements (i.e., snow or rain) until after I'm in my car.
