Top 20: #5 and #4...

I know I am a slacker, but here we go...

#5: The Space and Open floor plan. We had NO space for anything in our townhome. We even kept strollers in the dining room! Here everything is so nice and open and spacious. The kids can play in their rooms if they want and have SO much room in the basement to play. I love how the kitchen, morning, room, and family room are all open to each other. I just LOVE the feel of the house.

#4: The Morning Room. 'Nuff said. This is my favorite room in the whole house. I am sitting in it right now as I type this. I love looking out onto the backyard and the trees on the side. This was the best thing we could have added and I feel like the house would be incomplete without it.

I will try and keep up now... :-)

  1. Strangly enough I love the look of my morning but only use it at dinner time, basically its my dining room and my real dining room sees no action at all, except as a way through the house. :)

As we speak they are doing my gable style roof over 1/2 of my patio...oh boy!! Looking good...shoulda got a bigger patio though ..640 square feet still is NOT enough!!

    1. We use the morning room at all meals and, like you, our dining sees barely any action. My 2 boys like to chase each other around the house and they use the dining room to get back to the kitchen to start the whole thing over again!

Can't wait to see pics of your patio! Get those up! ;-)

  2. I love the open floor plan for your main level! Ours has nice arches and cutouts in the wall, but I'd prefer having no wall between the dinette and our great room.

We didn't even get the option of a morning room (our house is too long with the morning room to fit on the lot), but we walked through a framed Misthaven with the morning room and it opens up the kitchen/dinette area so much! Plus you have all those nice windows to let in the sunlight and let you see into your backyard!

    1. Arches are definitely beautiful and add to the house a lot! For me, the morning room was something I refused to compromise! We were lucky that the incentive was a morning room/ rec room combo for an amazing price (not even sure if we could have gotten one of those options for the price). Natural light was also on my list (a beast to find coverings for of course!) and we added a bunch of windows where it made sense.

It will be exciting once yours continues to progress, the outside is a house already!

  3. Hi Elise, I love the space too!!! Great deal, right!! Funny thing tho......I have literally designated each square inch of this 4600 sq foot house and I don't have the storage room for junk stuff. Ugghhh I think this is a good thing because it will help me to remain clutter free.

As for the morning room, I agree totally: NUFF said!
Strangely enough, we tend to eat most of our meals at the gourmet island, the dining room gets no action and the morning room gets alittle of everything. lol
